We’re financing the future of energy
Crux is the capital platform for the clean economy. We modernize capital raising and deployment for clean energy and critical infrastructure with solutions across advisory, investments, technology, and intelligence.
Our team of 100+ is composed of experts in energy, tax, finance, government, and technology. We have raised $77 million in capital from some of the best investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Lowercarbon Capital, New System Ventures, Overture, Ardent Venture Partners, QED, Canapi, and others. These funds are joined by strategic investors including Pattern Energy, Clearway Energy, EDF Renewables, Intersect Power, LS Power, Orsted, Hartree Partners, Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, and OMERS Ventures.
An inflection point in American energy and manufacturing
Energy demand is growing for the first time in decades, driving an urgent need for more affordable and reliable electricity. More electricity requires new clean energy infrastructure and strong domestic supply chains for minerals and components — as well as large amounts of capital.
Traditional project financing is opaque, fragmented, and analog. At Crux, we’re changing that. Through unmatched insights and expertise, white-glove service, purpose-built tools, and risk underwriting, we power a more prosperous, clean, and secure energy future.
We are scaling quickly and looking for team members who are eager to combine deep expertise with an AI- and tech-forward mindset.
What you’ll do:
Crux’s content and thought leadership are central to all areas of the business. Our Content Marketing Strategist will play a crucial role in accelerating our content program for tax credit buyers and institutional investors — further establishing Crux as the dominant thought leader in clean energy capital markets while driving top-of-funnel pipeline growth and enabling the commercial teams that serve these audiences. This role sits on Crux’s marketing team and reports to the Senior Brand & Content Lead.
Collaborate closely with Crux’s capital solutions teams to develop deep audience expertise and guide the content strategy for capital providers (e.g., corporate finance teams, financial institutions, private credit funds, tax advisors).
Create compelling content across formats — case studies, newsletters, blog posts, sales one-pagers, infographics, whitepapers, and videos — tailored to an audience of capital providers.
Execute content strategies that boost SEO and AEO performance and drive desired actions across sales and partnerships channels.
Develop sales enablement materials that help commercial teams engage and convert sophisticated finance and investment audiences.
Actively experiment with AI tools across content workflows and contribute to the team’s shared learning about AI utilization.
Help shape a long-term content calendar aligned with business goals while managing shifting priorities.
Collaborate with design teams to produce videos, infographics, and other multimedia assets for distribution across channels.
Ensure consistency with key messaging and brand guidelines across all content types, maintaining Crux’s high standard of quality.
What you bring:
4–6 years of experience in content, communications, and/or marketing in corporate finance, fintech, or clean energy project finance.
Fluency in the language of institutional finance: tax credits, tax equity, structured debt, capital markets, and regulatory frameworks.
Exceptional writing skills to make complex financial and technical topics accessible and engaging across a wide range of formats, from executive thought leadership to SEO blog posts to sales collateral.
Genuine curiosity about AI and a track record of experimenting with tools to improve your work.
Strong organizational skills to execute content effectively while managing competing priorities.
An eye for detail and strong instincts around written and visual communication.
A collaborative mindset with comfort working autonomously across cross-functional teams.
Excitement about accelerating the clean economy.
