Ardent is seeking an IT Subject Matter Expert to join our team. This is a remote position . Position Description: Ardent is seeking an experienced Data Scientist / IT Subject Matter Expert to support data-driven initiatives within a federal environment. This role will focus on applying advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and data science techniques to complex business and operational challenges. Responsibilities and Duties: Provide subject matter expertise supporting data science, analytics, and machine learning initiatives. Support analysis of complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Provide recommendations regarding analytical methods, statistical models, and data-driven solutions. Support data preparation, transformation, modeling, and visualization activities. Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to define analytical requirements and support program objectives. Support development of dashboards, reports, technical documentation, and analytical deliverables. Provide guidance on data quality, analytical methodologies, and data science best practices. Contribute to modernization and continuous improvement efforts involving data, analytics, automation, and emerging technologies. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology, data analytics, data science, or related technical environments. Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting enterprise-scale data, analytics, or technology initiatives. Demonstrated experience performing statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, or other advanced analytical work. Experience working with large, complex, and/or disparate datasets. Proficiency with data analysis and programming tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar technologies. Experience with data visualization and communicating analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex analytical concepts clearly. Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, business, and program teams in a federal environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting federal government programs or mission environments. Experience with cloud-based data platforms and analytical environments. Experience developing or implementing machine learning models in operational or production environments. Familiarity with AI, machine learning, natural language processing, or other advanced analytics techniques. Experience with data governance, data quality, or enterprise data management practices.
