Senior Engineer, DevOps

Required Qualifications & Experience Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing expertise and providing guidance to help drive the selection of appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the team Assist in the estimation, prioritization, and planning of development tasks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies, and Infrastructure as Code tools in alignment with DevSecOps principles to streamline the deployment and management of microservices and APIs on AWS. Develop and deploy monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools to ensure observability and resilience of microservices and APIs, while adhering to DevSecOps standards. Participate in regular security reviews, risk assessments, and vulnerability management activities to proactively identify and remediate potential threats within the microservices, APIs, and AWS infrastructure. Ability to work independently as well as in a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient in one or more programming languages, including Go, Python, or Typescript. Skilled in Bash scripting for task automation. Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation, with a focus on automated, efficient infrastructure management. Deep familiarity with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, EKS, ECS/Fargate, RDS, EventBridge, CloudFront, S3, ApiGateway, CloudWatch and WAF. Familiarity with version control systems, especially GitHub. Required Skills: Must haves: AWS EKS / Kubernetes Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation AWS as a whole with emphasis on VPC, Subnetting, Security Groups, IAM Roles, Network configuration An SRE mindset with the ability to trace an error from the logs to the point in the system that needs changing Preferred: AWS ECS/ECR, Lambda, EC2, Step Functions Monitoring like AWS CloudWatch, DataDog, PagerDuty, Wiz Deployments like AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins "DevSecOps" security mindset to bake it into the pipelines at build time, to mitigate/patch CVEs on the system, and to build infrastructure with security accounted for in the infrastructure stacks
