About the opportunity We are looking for a Data Science Intern to join our Data team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who is hungry to learn and build. You’ll work closely with the rest of the team to dive into data to generate insights and help build the systems that drive our business. Whether you’re coming from a technical background with a strong analytical foundation or a business background with hands-on data experience, what matters most is your drive, precision, and business curiosity . In this role, you will Support the team in analyzing large data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights Write and optimize production SQL against our data warehouse to power analyses and model features Contribute to the development, improvement, and monitoring of credit risk models used for underwriting and portfolio management Build out our MLOps foundations across experiment tracking, pipelines, and internal tooling so that models ship and run reliably Present findings and recommendations directly to the team and leadership to inform decisions What you need to be successful A degree (or pursuing one) in a quantitative or business-related field Proficiency in SQL and Python, experience with MLOps tools are a plus Experience working in Data Science through internships, academic projects, or similar Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail Clear communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a simple and actionable way A proactive and hands-on approach with the ability to work independently Motivation to learn and grow in a fast-paced, evolving environment Experience of working in startups or in credit risk underwriting is a plus Benefits Flexible, distributed-first work culture (with a beautiful office in Berlin if you prefer in-person) Access to WeWork offices worldwide Regular team off-sites across the EU 30 vacation days per year We're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity.
