Head of Product You'll own product at Firecrawl. We've gotten here on the strength of a product developers love and a small team with sharp instincts, and now we need someone to turn that instinct into a real product function: strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and the judgment calls that decide what we build and what we don't. You'll work directly with the founders and engineering to shape where Firecrawl goes next, in a market moving faster than almost any other. This is a builder's leadership role: you'll set the bar, make the hard calls, and own the outcomes. You'll report to our CEO and lead the product function, including our Product Operations Engineer. Salary Range: $250,000–$290,000/year Equity Range: Up to 0.30% Location: San Francisco, CA (on-site required) Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 7+ years in product, including leadership of a product function at a developer or technical product company Visa: Must already be authorized to work in the US. About Firecrawl Firecrawl is the easiest way to turn the web into data AI agents can use. One API call converts any URL into clean, LLM-ready markdown or structured data - the boring-hard problem everyone building with LLMs eventually hits, solved. We hit 8 figures in ARR in year one and more than doubled it in year two. We have 147k+ GitHub stars, and developers, agents, and category-defining AI companies build on us every day. Growth like this is rare, and we're just getting started. We're a small team punching far above our weight. Everyone here owns a real piece of the product and company, end to end, and runs it themselves - no hiding behind process or headcount. This is a place for people who want to work at the frontier: an AI company building the infrastructure other AI companies run on, not one bolting AI onto an existing product. We move fast, go deep, and are building the tools superintelligence will rely on to gather data from the web. What You'll Do Own product strategy and roadmap, and the hard prioritization calls that come with them Turn a fast-moving market and deep developer insight into a clear plan for what we build next Work directly with the founders and engineering to shape Firecrawl's direction Build and lead the product function, including our Product Operations Engineer, and set the bar for how product works here Stay close to developers and the product itself, your decisions should come from real understanding, not distance Own the outcomes: what ships, whether it lands, and what we learn What We're Looking For You've led product for a developer-facing, API, or technical product, and you understand how developers evaluate and adopt tools You've owned strategy and roadmap for a real product, and made the hard calls about what not to build You're technical enough to earn engineering's trust and go deep on the product You lead by raising the bar and owning outcomes, not by adding process You move fast and close the loop - you'd rather ship, learn, and iterate than plan in a vacuum What We're NOT Looking For A process-first product leader who needs a big org and long cycles to operate Someone who's led product only for non-technical or enterprise products and hasn't lived the developer motion A strategist who won't get their hands dirty in the actual product A Note On Pace We operate at an absurd level of urgency because the window for what we're building won't stay open forever. If that excites you, keep reading. If it doesn't, no hard feelings — but this role probably isn't for you. Product Deep Dive (~60 min) — Walk us through a product you owned end to end: the strategy, the hard tradeoffs, what worked and what didn't. Then a live scenario on how you'd think about Firecrawl's product direction from here. Founder Chats (~60 min) — Deeper conversations with the founders on vision, pace, judgment, and how you lead. For a role this central, we go deep on both directions of fit. References + Final (~30 min) — Reference conversations and a final discussion. For a leadership hire, track record and how you operate matter as much as the interviews. Paid Working Session (1-2 weeks) — Work a real, scoped product problem with the team, paid at a contractor rate. It's the truest signal for both sides: you see what building at Firecrawl actually feels like, and we see how you think and ship. We'll flex around your current commitments. Decision — We move fast.
