DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Apache Kafka and messaging systems to join our team and help develop and improve our infrastructure. In this role, you'll work with cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring system reliability, performance, and stability. We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, takes ownership of technical challenges, and can independently identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. Responsibilities: Design, build, configure, and maintain Kafka clusters and messaging infrastructure Manage and improve existing DevOps infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments Identify weaknesses and bottlenecks in the current infrastructure and implement improvements Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of infrastructure and messaging services Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operations using Terraform and Kubernetes Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems Collaborate with development teams on Kafka topic design, schema management, and connectors Design and maintain backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions for streaming infrastructure Troubleshoot production issues, investigate incidents, and improve system stability Requirements: 5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineer Strong production experience with Apache Kafka and message brokers such as RabbitMQ or RocketMQ Deep understanding of event-driven, modular monolith, microservices architectures Experience running stateful workloads on Kubernetes Hands-on experience with Terraform Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana Strong Linux administration skills, including performance tuning and troubleshooting Solid understanding of networking fundamentals Experience with cloud and/or on-premises infrastructure English level - B1 or higher Will be a plus: Experience with Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, or CDC (Debezium) Experience with Kubernetes Operators (Strimzi or similar) Experience with Helm Experience with Amazon MSK Experience with low-latency or high-throughput systems Experience with data pipelines (ClickHouse, HDFS, Spark) Experience in trading, fintech, or market-data environments What we offer: 20 paid vacation days per year 10 paid sick leave days per year Public holidays as per the company’s approved Public holiday list Medical insurance Opportunity to work remotely Professional education budget Language learning budget Wellness budget (gym membership, sports gear and related expenses)
