Monitor and tune query performance, warehouse utilization, and platform costs.
Support secure data sharing, governance, and operational best practices.
Cloud & Platform Automation
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for database and platform deployments using GitLab and tools such as Liquibase or Redgate.
Automate deployments and operational workflows using Python, SQL, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
Support integrations between Snowflake and AWS/Azure services, including object storage, serverless functions, messaging, and identity services.
Data Platform Operations
Support ETL/ELT pipelines and streaming platforms, including Confluent Kafka.

Improve operational readiness through monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability.
Operational Support
Participate in an on-call rotation to support production data platform services and respond to critical incidents.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams during incident response and post-incident reviews.
Security & Reliability
Implement and maintain IAM, auditing, logging, and security controls across the platform.
Promote automation-first operational practices and platform engineering standards.
Collaboration
Partner with Data Engineering, Analytics, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable platform services.
Contribute to platform architecture discussions and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Data Platform Operations.
Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting Snowflake.
Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for database or platform deployments.
Working with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
Supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and streaming technologies such as Confluent Kafka.
Strong scripting skills using Python, SQL, Bash, or similar languages.
Experience with Git-based development workflows.
Supporting production systems in an on-call or operational support environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and production environments.
Preferred Qualifications

Workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
Serverless and event-driven architectures.
Cloud monitoring, observability, and cost optimization tools.
Supporting enterprise data platforms.
What Success Looks Like
You're an automation-first platform engineer who takes ownership of the reliability and scalability of the data platform. You build automation instead of manual processes, improve developer experience through modern CI/CD practices, proactively enhance platform performance, security, and operational excellence, participate in the team's on-call rotation, and continuously improve platform stability by eliminating recurring operational issues.
