We’re not hiring a feature manager. We’re hiring someone who solves real problems.
At SimplifyNext, Product Managers sit at the heart of our work – partnering with clients, users, designers and engineers to discover what actually needs solving, then driving measurable outcomes that transform how organisations operate. We work across public sector and enterprise, at the intersection of AI, automation, and product-led transformation.
If you’re the kind of person who asks “why” before “how”, who measures success in outcomes not story points delivered, and who thrives in ambiguous, high-stakes environments – read on.
What You'll Do
Discover and Define the Right Problems
Lead deep-dive discovery with clients, users, and stakeholders to surface real pain points
Apply structured root-cause techniques (5 Whys, problem trees) to separate symptoms from causes
Translate messy, ambiguous challenges into sharp, data-backed problem statements
Drive Outcomes, Not Output
Define success in terms of measurable business outcomes before a single line of code is written
Build and own a metric framework — leading indicators, lagging indicators, and Value-Cost Ratio (VCR)
Hold yourself and your team accountable to delivering real business value
Validate Before You Build
Design lean experiments, prototypes, and MVPs to test assumptions with minimum investment
Prioritise ruthlessly using value-vs-cost frameworks; know when to stop as well as when to proceed
Run structured A/B and user tests to validate product direction
Shape Exceptional Customer Experiences
Partner with designers to create intuitive, low-friction experiences for both enterprise and public-sector users
Champion the user throughout delivery — from discovery to launch and beyond
Lead Stakeholders and Steer Decisions
Align cross-functional teams (policy, operations, tech, design) around a shared problem and priority set
Facilitate difficult trade-off conversations with senior stakeholders; make the call when needed
Communicate progress, risks, and decisions with clarity to all levels
Scale with Confidence
Guide products from Proof of Concept → Proof of Value → Scale → Maturity
Identify and mitigate market, technical, and team risks at each stage
Drive continuous improvement through structured retrospectives and metric reviews
Who You Are
Must-Have
Problem-first mindset — you define problems before proposing solutions
Outcome-driven thinking — you measure impact, not activity
Relentless curiosity — you ask ‘why’ until you hit the real root cause
Comfort with ambiguity — you structure the unstructured
Bias for action — you run experiments rather than endlessly debating options
Strong stakeholder communication — written and verbal, across all seniority levels
Good to Have
3–7 years in product management or product-adjacent roles (consulting, business analysis, solutions architecture)
Familiarity with Agile / iterative delivery methodologies
Exposure to enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow or Microsoft Power Platform
Grounding in UX principles and data metrics / analytics
Experience working with public sector or large enterprise clients
For Senior PM candidates (7+ years), we also look for:
Ownership of complex, cross-organisational problem spaces
Track record of driving product strategy, not just execution
Experience mentoring PMs and shaping team culture
Ability to influence at executive and board level
This role is not for you if…
You treat product management as a feature backlog and release schedule
You jump to solutions before fully understanding the problem
You measure your work by tickets delivered, not outcomes achieved
You need a fully defined brief to get started
Why SimplifyNext
We partner with governments and enterprises to shift from project delivery to product thinking. That means working on problems that genuinely matter – healthcare access, business licensing, workforce development – and being held accountable for outcomes, not just deliverables.
High-impact problem spaces
Public sector and enterprise transformation, AI, and automation at scale
Product-first culture
We measure success by outcomes and Value-Cost Ratio – not features shipped
Cross-functional ownership
PMs own the full problem space – policy, ops, and tech – not just the tech layer
Learning environment
Frameworks, coaching, and real stretch assignments from day one
At SimplifyNext, we’re committed to building a team of curious, driven, and forward-thinking individuals who care deeply about creating meaningful impact through technology. If you’re excited by the opportunity to grow, collaborate, and shape the future of digital transformation across the region, we’d be happy to hear from you.
