Senior Full Stack Engineer

Founded in Denmark in 2017, we currently have offices in Copenhagen, London and New York - and are rapidly expanding into new markets. We're now looking for an experienced Senior Full-stack Engineer to join our Payments product team. As a Senior Full-stack Engineer, your job will be to build and maintain critical components and features for the Worksome platform, enabling companies and workers to connect and get more work done - with less friction. You will be part of a cross functional team that delivers specific features that will drive the success of our customers by removing friction in the world of work. Teams at Worksome work within an agile framework, ensuring continuous improvement and delivery. About the job Work closely with the team lead, the product manager and the rest of the engineering team to come up with ideal solutions to current challenges Develop new user-facing features and build reusable code for future use, using AI tools and agents Monitor and operate the platform in production, owning the deployments and infrastructure Write tests for your code to ensure high quality throughout our codebase Take ownership of your code, following through from idea inception to deployment Provide code reviews for fellow developers and participate in architectural discussions to evolve the systems Here are some real examples of recent and future projects in the team: AI support agent - an in-house AI chatbot (using off-the-shelf LLMs) that allows workers and hiring managers to get information about their data in Worksome, as well as to make changes in a “natural language” interface Timesheets - a complete new timesheet registration experience for workers in our platform. Sophisticated UI elements built with VueJS and our internal design system. Backend and API support for a new data-structure for timesheet submissions. Integrating external timesheet data - API endpoints to receive custom timesheet data and parse data into our own data structure used for payments, via our public API ( docs.worksome.com ) Tools to automate payroll management - build internal tools and integration to external systems to help our payroll team process high volume of payments. About you Strong experience with Laravel and PHP Proficient with AI development tools (Cursor, claude code, codex or similar), and curious about the evolution of engineering with AI Experience with Vue.js or similar modern front-end frameworks In-depth understanding of modern web application architecture including routing, OOP and SQL Comfortable working with, and prototyping in, classic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within a PHP templating engine (e.g. Blade) Experience working with testing frameworks for both front-end and back-end, using tools such as Vitest, Pest and PHPUnit Experience working with and building APIs, ideally using GraphQL Motivated to work on payments and finance related solutions for end users as well as internal teams - experience is a benefit.
