We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. You will work alongside experienced engineers, supporting the development and maintenance of scalable, secure, and performant cloud infrastructure that powers our innovative data products and AI platforms.

What you'll be doing:
Support Cloud Infrastructure Deployment and Management
Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure components on platforms such as AWS and/or GCP, following established designs and best practices.
Learn to utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to manage cloud resources and contribute to IaC module development under guidance.
Collaborate with senior engineers to understand project requirements and contribute to the implementation of cloud solutions for our data products and AI platforms.
Contribute to Automation and Operational Support
Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, assisting with automation of deployment and testing processes.
Monitor cloud services and applications, contributing to the identification and resolution of operational issues and performance bottlenecks.
Assist in collecting and analyzing metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure the health and efficiency of our cloud environments.
Uphold Security and Best Practices
Learn and apply cloud security best practices, assisting in the configuration of IAM policies, network security groups, and other security controls.
Contribute to documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and operational procedures.
Work with the team to ensure our cloud environments adhere to internal standards and contribute to compliance efforts.
Learn, Collaborate, and Innovate
Actively participate in team discussions, knowledge sharing sessions, and code reviews to deepen your understanding of cloud technologies and WPP's ecosystem.
Provide technical support to development teams for cloud-related issues and questions.
Research new cloud services and features, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas to the team.
What you'll need:
0-2 years of experience in a technical role, with a demonstrated interest or some exposure to cloud computing (e.g., through internships, personal projects, or academic coursework).
Foundational knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (GCP).
Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform).
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools.
Some exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
English fluency B2/C1
Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS).
Eagerness to learn about containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, with a willingness to learn and ask questions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Entry-level cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Digital Leader) are a plus.

The gross salary for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. This range reflects our broader group’s compensation framework across diverse agencies and disciplines.
